Empowering juvenile moms.

Did you know that 95% of all state prisoners are released from prison at some point, but the recidivism rate is over 80% for prisoners with juvenile records? Recidivism is defined as re-offense by those previously in the criminal justice system.

In order to reduce recidivism and prevent generational trauma being passed down, juvenile moms (and moms-to-be) deserve support and healthy guidance.

Jessie Upp, founder of DayBalancer, is working to support pregnant or young moms to gain back agency in their lives through increased self-awareness.

Every meal is an opportunity for care.

To help young moms gain back control of their health and future, they learn how to approach their very next meal with mindfulness and healthy foods. SAD to GLAD is a program offered by DayBalancer to advocate for a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Jessie is seeking opportunities to volunteer her time to offer mindful eating education to juvenile moms. She is accepting donations to offer this sustainably. All donors receive updates on services offered.

For community leaders who hire people with a record, please do connect.

Thank you! 💛
